// HOW IT WORKS
From buoy to beach
- 01Read the waterEvery 10 minutes we check four NOAA buoys, plus an hourly wave and wind model and the tide tables. We never touch anyone else’s forecast.
- 02One score per spotEach spot has its own swell window, tide band and wind direction. The swell, size, wind and tide add up to one 0–100 score, an estimated size range, and the best window to go.
- 03The crew closes the loopFriends vote for a spot and time slot, then report back how it really was. Over time the reports show where the forecast runs big or small.
// WHAT YOU GET
Less guessing, more sessions
Go / don’t-go scoreFiring, Good, Fair or Poor for C Street, Rincon and Malibu, now and for the next five days.
Crew plannerSee who’s going where, at dawn, morning, midday or afternoon, and leave a short note.
Forecast checkQuick post-session reports measure how right we were, spot by spot.
Swell alertsA push when a swell you care about is a few hours out, held until morning if it arrives at night.
Wind-turn time“Glassy until ~10:30am” for each spot, so you know how long the window lasts.
Wetsuit and rain flagA suit suggestion from buoy water temperature, and a runoff warning after rain.
Sizes are estimates from buoy and model data, shown as ranges. Accuracy is checked against what the crew actually reports.
